Panna cotta, the classic dessert which is both simple and sweet. Typically eaten after dinner, Panna cotta is said to indulge the senses. Made with Meredith Dairy Natural Sheep Milk Yoghurt, this dessert is known to be a winner.
Serves 4 people
1 Tbsp. Powdered Gelatin
3 Tbsp. Water
2 Cups Thickened Cream
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Tbsp. Honey
1 Cup Sheep Milk Yoghurt
1 Vanilla Bean
Place 1 tbsp of powdered gelatin in a small bowl and sprinkle with 3 tbsps of water. Stir and set aside.
In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of thickened cream, ½ cup of sugar, and 2 tbsp of honey until it begins to simmer and the sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat and mix in the gelatin.
Meanwhile, stir 1 cup of Meredith Dairy Sheep Milk Yoghurt and 1 cup of thickened cream together.
Mix the heated cream and yoghurt mixtures together and add 1 vanilla bean.
Pour into your chosen moulds and place in the fridge for 4-5 hours.
Then serve them in the moulds or invert them on to a plate by dipping them in hot water to help release them from the mould.
