    Crispy Goat Cheese & Tomato Pesto Balls

    These rich and creamy goat cheese bites are the perfect entertaining option. They only have 5 ingredients and are a perfect option for the home cook.

    Serves 4 people


    • 2 x 150g Meredith Dairy Original Fresh Goat Cheese
    • 2 Tbsp Tomato Pesto
    • 1 Cup of Plain Flour
    • 2 Eggs, beaten
    • 1 Cup of Panko Breadcrumbs
    • Salt & Pepper to season
    • Vegetable Oil for frying


    • Step 1 Mix goat cheese and tomato pesto together in a bowl. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place your flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate bowls. Season the flour and breadcrumbs with salt and pepper.
    • Step 2 Roll the pesto and goat cheese mix into a small ball. Roll in flour, then the egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumbs. Place on the baking tray. Once all the mix is used place the tray in the freezer for 25 minutes.
    • Step 3 When there is 15 minutes left of freezing, begin heating the vegetable oil in a deep fry pan on the stove. Bring the balls out of the freezer after 25 minutes are up and place into the hot fry pan, frying each side until they are golden all over. This usually only takes about a minute for each ball. Serve while hot!
