    Classic Smashed Avo

    The classic Smashed Avo, in cafes or at home, simply isn't it without our Marinated Goat Cheese. Perfect for a make-home brekkie or lunch, this dish is a classic for a reason. Don't forget to top with a drizzle of the garlic & thyme infused oil from the cheese jar to enhance the flavours. This is the only smashed avo recipe you'll ever need!

    Serves 4 people


    • 4 cubes of Meredith Dairy Marinated Goat Cheese
    • 2 ripe avocados
    • 4 slices of sourdough bread
    • handful of baby spinach or rocket (optional)
    • 1 tbsp of fresh herb of your choice (mint, thyme for example)
    • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
    • pinch of salt and pepper


    • Step 1 Toast the bread in a toaster or oven grill.
    • Step 2 Peel and smash the avocados in a bowl. Stir in chopped herbs, lemon juice and a pinch of salt and pepper
    • Step 3 Spread avo smash on toasted bread.
    • Step 4 Top with crumbled goat cheese, one cube per toast. Drizzle some of the infused oil on top of every toast. If desired, top with spinach or rocket for extra greens.
    • Step 5 Enjoy!
