    Caramelised Onion and Goat Cheese Tart

    This super easy to make caramelised onion tart is delicious with our original goat chèvre

    Serves 4 people

    Ingredients

    • 4 brown onions
    • 2 tbs brown sugar
    • olive oil
    • fresh thyme
    • 1 sheet of puff pastry
    • salt and pepper

    Preparation

    • Step 1 Preheat oven to 200 degrees
    • Step 2 Lay puff pastry sheet on an oven tray lined with baking paper. Fold over 1cm on the sides and press down with a fork.
    • Step 3 Slice onions and add to a saucepan with olive oil, stir till translucent
    • Step 4 Once onions are translucent add brown sugar and cook on low for 20 minutes
    • Step 5 The onions are done when they look caramelised/brown
    • Step 6 Add the onion to the puff pastry sheet, as well as salt and pepper, fresh thyme and goat cheese
    • Step 7 Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
