Why the White Lids?

While our 550g marinated jars don white, one jar = one meal for those in need…

The COVID-19 Pandemic has disrupted global supply chains. As a result, we have no supplies of gold lids for our 550g Marinated Goat Cheese, hence the white lids. This supply issue has highlighted the disruption to normal life. To illustrate this, Meredith Dairy is donating to help people during this difficult time.

We have chosen to support Australia’s leading food rescue charity, “OzHarvest” to enable them to deliver meals to those doing it tough.  For every Meredith Dairy “white lid” jar purchased, OzHarvest can provide a meal for someone in need.

As food producers, living in regional Australia, we have lived with less restrictions compared to our city friends. The trivial irritation of a disrupted supply is nothing compared to that of other businesses and their families. COVID -19 has affected everyone, and has created some tragic situations. Often the most affected are people who are poor and/or simply unlucky.  The best way to be a hero, is to stay at home but when in public, cover your smile with a mask.
