Nantwich International Cheese Awards

The Nantwich UK International Cheese & Dairy Awards is the biggest platform for cheese and dairy products in the World.

2019 featured over 5,500 individual entries and judged by 250 of UK cheese and dairy industry’s experts. This annual event is the Oscars of the dairy industry and attracts entries from cheesemakers and dairy producers from across Europe, America, New Zealand and Australia.

In 2014, competing against international cheeses, our Dill Chèvre won Gold and last year we won Gold again this time for our Marinated Goat Cheese, original goats cheese and mixed milk jar (Marinated sheep and goat blend).

Winning an award in the UK is very prestigious and benchmarks products against cheeses of the world. There were an enormous number of categories, some for just United Kingdom entries others were for all countries. Only one Gold, Silver & Bronze is allocated for each class. It wasn’t until I did research on the Nantwich awards that I realised how significant winning a gold was.

Maybe when the COVID-19 restrictions are over and we have a vaccine, we can visit the UK for the next International cheese awards. It would be great to soak up the atmosphere and absorb the importance of our wins against the rest of the world.
